Professional development of public service potential in modern Ukrainian realities

Abstract

The demands that society places on the professional activity of public servants today imply not only an increase in responsibility and efficiency in its implementation, but also a constant improvement of the level of their own professional qualifications by civil servants. Public servants are not sufficient to possess only specialized knowledge in order to perform their duties qualitatively, they need knowledge and understanding of the mechanisms of interaction between the state, society and individual citizens.

The purpose of the article is to theoretically consider the professional development of public service personnel potential in contemporary Ukrainian realities.

Scientific novelty is based on a comprehensive study of the theoretical and practical foundations of professional development of public service personnel potential, a systematic analysis of the state of scientific development of the problem of professional development of public service personnel potential of Ukraine.

Conclusion. For Ukraine, vocational training is especially important not only in the light of global processes, but also in the context of the need for system-transformation reforms, which leads to the existence of an effective system of functioning of public administration. Training civil servants involves unlocking the professional potential of a person, which is crucial in our country to create an independent, strong European state.

The public administration system in Ukraine has undergone a long and difficult period of formation, which has been accompanied by constant reforming of the public service institution and transformation of principles and approaches to staffing.

The civil service development strategy developed today is aimed at development based on an innovative approach, implementation of project management in state bodies, as well as identification of various project decisions, in particular their selection and implementation.
